Recipe: Send email from Make

Call Notify from Make (Integromat) with an HTTP module — POST /api/email/send and x-api-key.

Use Make when a scenario should send transactional email after another module runs — form, Stripe, CRM. Still transactional, not newsletters.

No Notify Make app is required. Use the built-in HTTP module.

Prerequisites

  • API key (prefer a domain-locked sending_access key)
  • Verified domain for production custom from
  • A Make scenario with a trigger that already has the recipient address

HTTP module

  1. Add HTTP → Make a request.
  2. URL: https://notify.cx/api/email/send
  3. Method: POST
  4. Headers:
    • Content-Type → application/json
    • x-api-key → your Notify API key (store in a Make connection / variable — don’t hardcode in shared blueprints)
  5. Body type: Raw / JSON. Body:
{
  "to": "user@example.com",
  "from": "noreply@your-verified-domain.com",
  "subject": "Your order confirmation",
  "html": "<p>Thanks — we got your order.</p>"
}

Map to / subject / html from earlier modules with Make’s mapping panel (e.g. email from a form module).

html is preferred; message and text also work.

Parse the response (optional)

Notify returns JSON with success (and related fields). Enable JSON parsing on the HTTP module if you want later modules to branch on success vs error.

Sandbox vs production

Until the domain is verified, production custom from stays locked. Use sandbox vs production or POST /api/email/send/test for API rehearsal.

After you send

Check Email Logs or the logs API. Delivery events can go to a webhook on Pro+.
